Glycolic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) with exfoliating and hydrating properties. Clinical studies have shown that glycolic acid significantly increases the skin’s hydration level by helping it produce substances such as mucopolysaccharides, which allow the skin to stay hydrated by increasing its natural hyaluronic acid amount, which in turn promotes skin resilience-
